Had a great day today, really enjoyed the cosy greenhouses - will definitely be popping back over to spend some more time there.

Tea in the Garden - Walter Osborne

Did a quick sketch that just wasn't working out, shown below. Resorted to doing more "squiggles" which I enjoyed! This is Walter Osborne's "Tea in the Garden", with a woman sitting pouring tea at the table, the grandmother sitting on a bench behind and the children playing in the foreground. Here's the original!

Sums up the scene as I saw it:
Main Stage with an Ox, a tent with lanterns, a big tree, a fancy electric bike stall and a couple of sketchy loking Dubliners sitting on a bench. Oh and the odd bouncy ball..

Life Drawing Thurs 16th

Really enjoyed the class and looking forward to next week. Tried out my left hand in two of the drawings - honestly I think my left almost looks better. I just need to train my brain to relax!!
